Our Work

We work tirelessly round the clock caring for the equine in our facility. We do our very best to give the animals a safe landing where they may feel comfortable and happy. We strive to rehabilitate their minds as well as their physical bodies. These animals have been through more trauma and stress than they should every experience and need to know how to accept love and affection. We aim to give our rescues a second chance at the wonderful life they are due. Help us continue this work so that we may rescue and rehabilitate many many more.

Eve is barely handled and living her best life. She came to us completely unhandled and very heavy bred.  We had hoped to get a chance to work with her more to get her at least green but have not had the manpower with the consistency and time that is required.  She is certainly sweet and very curious, not a mean bone in her body but just not much handling at all with her. She is going to be a wonderful prospect for ranch work or fun. Very athletic and fast. Built like a brick and just the right size. Just under 14.1hh

Cochise

Cochise is a 21 year old handsome fella. He was bred from a family's barrel horse and was kept as a pasture pet with no training. He will take a halter but never had any formal training beyond regular handling for feeding and grooming. It is possible to train him to possibly ride trails and such but at his age he may not be quite as receptive to training. The longer we have him here, the more likely we'll continue to try. He's a very personable and vocal guy and he gets along with pretty much everyone.

Sophie

Sophie is a 13-15 year old ex-Amish cart horse. She is a very sweet gal and loves to work but unfortunately she has a pretty sad case of arthritis in her left leg. With regular activity and proper supplements she does very well but cannot be ridden by much more than for pony rides for children. The weight of an adult on her leg is not good and would cause her too much pain. She should certainly be a spoiled pasture companion and gets along well with other horses. She does absolutely fantastic for farrier and tacks and loads great. Arthritis is her only vice. She deserves a soft landing forever home that will spoil her and just let her be a pretty pet with a friend or two.

Black Beauty

Black Beauty is a registered American Saddlebred foaled in 2001. She is a stunner and tacks beautifully. "BB" likes to be around her friends and loves to be groomed. She's looking for somebody to show her off as the "show-stopper" that she knows she is.

Future

Future came to us in July in the worst shape I've ever personally encountered. He loves human and other animal contact (including our dogs). He has been gelded as of 09-16-2021 and is well on the way to a full recovery. Having already gained 200lbs and becoming quite spoiled and loves routine. He will be ready for adoption soon.

Nona

Nona is a gentle (been there done that) kinda gal. She is 25 and a fluffy big boned love bug. She is a babysitter of a mare. Calm cool and collected and looking for her forever family. She loads great, amazing for farrier and all around a people pleaser.
